About INTENT · From the founder Established 2006 · Business Autonomy Engineers

The dream state of operations is no longer a dream.

I started INTENT with a belief that has never really changed: a business should be able to operate far better than most businesses do.

Not marginally better. Not with another layer of software, another dashboard or another person employed to hold a broken process together.

I mean the version every ambitious CEO would choose if there were no limitations.

A business with an operating system deliberately built to perform the activities required to achieve its vision. Where people are aligned around a common goal. Where the strategic plan is already in motion and teams can execute it without being constantly hindered by operational friction.

Where business-as-usual activities happen easily because the systems are designed to support them. Where things simply work, so work itself does not have to feel unnecessarily hard.

Where turning up each day means focusing on what needs to happen next — not recovering from what failed yesterday, chasing what was missed, or working around frustrations that should never have existed in the first place.

That is the version of business I have always wanted to build.

And I have always assumed it is the version every ambitious leader would choose too.

For twenty years, that has been our pursuit.

We have worked backwards from the dream state of operations and asked a very different question:

What would be needed for the business to operate that way?

That question shaped INTENT.

We became experts in workflows because every organisation is ultimately a collection of work moving from one point to another. We became deeply skilled in automation because it is the only way to remove unnecessary handling of data by humans. And we became a scaling technology engineering company because eventually we realised something important:

The systems underneath a business ultimately determine how well that business can operate.

Today, INTENT engineers scaling systems that allow organisations to function with extraordinary levels of autonomy, because we deeply considered the entire system underneath.

We call this Business Autonomy Engineering. It combines operating design, workflow engineering, custom software, integrations, connected data and embedded AI into one deliberately engineered environment.

This is where we are fundamentally different. Much of the business world still begins with what already exists. Existing software. Existing departments. Existing processes. Existing assumptions about how many people it takes to operate a company.

We begin with what should be possible - with what is already available. Then we engineer backwards until it is real.

For most of the last two decades, technology allowed us to move businesses progressively closer to that ideal. But there was always a final layer of work that required people to interpret, decide, communicate, analyse or respond.

AI changed that. For the first time, we can engineer organisations capable of performing approximately 90–95% of their operational workflows autonomously, while keeping people where people create the greatest value — judgement, creativity, relationships, leadership and the decisions that genuinely deserve them.

That changes the ambition. The objective is no longer to make operations slightly more efficient. The objective is to give the organisation an entirely different operating capability.

A company that can absorb more. Move faster. Know more. Respond earlier. Carry less operational weight. And scale without making the journey progressively harder.

I believe that if most CEOs were shown that version of their company beside the one they operate today, they would choose it immediately. Why wouldn’t they?

That is the business we have spent two decades learning how to build.

And it is why our vision remains as simple today as it was when INTENT began: make ambition reality.
