Reflecting on ANZAC day
Courage, sacrifice, and hope
In Australia and New Zealand, ANZAC Day on 25 April marks both a solemn remembrance of those who fell at Gallipoli and a broader tribute to all who have served in military operations. Dawn services and commemorative marches bring communities together to honor the unwavering spirit, selfless sacrifice, and deep camaraderie of service people past and present. As we remember the hardships faced by the original ANZACs—over 8,700 Australians and 2,700 New Zealanders lost their lives at Gallipoli—we renew our commitment to peace and the lessons learned from history’s greatest challenges. In reflecting on their courage, we draw inspiration to face our own trials with resilience and unity. Lest we forget.
